The technique used here is called scroll sawing.

What does it consist of?

A design pattern is transferred to the piece of wood chosen by means of charcoal paper or any other similar method, like a photocopy in adhesive paper.

 

 

After this, small holes are made with a hand drill or a bench drill to mark the place where hollow parts will be cut out later with a hand saw or a scroll saw.

 

 

It is important to thread the right drill in the holes marked to be able to start sawing.
